Increase funding for research into eating disorders

I want the government put more funding into research for eating disorders. Some disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness and can create irreversible damage to the body including the vital organs.

Between 2009 and 2019 total UK funding for eating disorder research amounted to just £1.13 per person with an eating disorder per year.

We believe there needs to be more funding for research to understand eating disorders to further assist in treatment. I want the government to produce further funding for research.
