We think that those in receipt of any benefits should have their payments reduced by a certain percentage, if they are convicted for a crime. This could act as a deterrent for those willing to commit crime. We believe the deterrents currently in place, such as policing and prison, are not working and that reducing benefits could be the best and most successful deterrent yet.
