The RAC Foundation reports that the Cost of Motoring has increased by 46.39% over the past 10 yrs alone (to Mar 24) and yet, HMRC MAP rate for reimbursing the use of private cars for employees and volunteers has been frozen since 2011 at 45p/per mile.

Employees and volunteers can be considerably out of pocket as a result, further impacting those already affected by the Cost of Living crisis. We believe this also makes it harder for small businesses to survive. We think the Government urgently needs to bring the Mileage Allowance Payment (MAP) in line with the overall increased cost of motoring.
