Reduce the immigration health surcharge for family visas

We want the IHS to be reduced to its previous rate of £624 per year for people living in the UK on a family visa. We believe that the IHS, which was increased by the previous government, has been set too high for family visas.

It currently costs £1,035 per year of the visa and must be paid in advance. We think accessing private healthcare can be cheaper! On top of this, you have to pay for the visa itself.

We believe the current cost of the IHS is not fair to families who want to be together, and that there is no justification for an increase in the IHS fee from £1,872 to £3,105 for a 3-year family visa, other than to prevent families from being together. I understand many people want immigration to be reduced, but families need to be together.
