UK Government to assess whether COP could be held online once every two years

I propose that a feasibility study to be conducted to assess transitioning COP events to an online format for one out of every two years. This shift aims to uphold global climate commitments while reducing the environmental and logistical impacts of annual, large-scale, in-person conferences.

We think the Government should do a feasibility study to assess transitioning COP events online for one out of every two years. We think this approach aligns with the UK’s commitment to climate action. Additionally, we think this model would improve accessibility, enabling broader participation, while still ensuring in-person collaboration every other year to maintain impactful global dialogue.
