We think we are holding back the 16.1 million with a disability from leading truly fulfilled lives - nearly 24% of the population with many needs. We think a new NDL Act must bring together all aspects of disabled lives e.g. health, (SEN) education, housing, accessible transport and buildings, assistive technology, work and training in a coordinated, fully supported way so we can treat people with the respect, compassion and opportunities they deserve so it’s not a constant fight. We believe we still have far to go!
