We think properties in disrepair due to lack of maintenance negatively devalues maintained neighbouring properties. We think the Government should enforce property standards for those lived in by owners.

We believe living next door or in the vicinity of a property in disrepair unfairly devalues neighbouring homes. Furthermore, we think it's arguable if living standards in the area are reduced it may increase the likelihood of anti-social behaviour and crime, whilst negatively impacting mental health. We think it is ultimately costing society.
