Homes found to breach environmental health laws should be confiscated and repurposed for social housing. We believe this would reduce the need to build on green belt land. We believe requiring the introduction of standardised systems for renting, rather than landlords and agents’ discretion, would prevent breaches of the Equalities Act 2010.
