We want the Government to ban air fresheners, scented candles, and fragranced products in public buildings and enclosed public spaces. Scientific evidence shows these products can contribute to indoor air pollution and pose health risks to the public.

Many fragranced products, including air fresheners and scented candles, routinely release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that have been linked to headaches, gastrointestinal problems, breathing difficulties, and worsening of asthma and allergies. Researchers have also raised concerns that certain chemicals in these products may impact reproductive health and have identified links to cancer.
