Require social housing landlords to ensure properties have a C EPC rating

We want the Government to include social and council properties in their plan to improve the EPC rating of all rental properties by 2030. This was set out in the Government's 'Plan for Change' and we feel there should be equal treatment for all tenants.

Some tenants in the social housing sector are dealing with cold damp homes that can be expensive to heat. There has recently been a consultation for this change to privately rented homes. We think the same requirement should apply to the social housing sector, and that CEOs of councils and housing associations should be fined if they don't meet the same standards as private landlords.
