Introduce a 2% wealth tax on assets over £10 million & tax reform

We urge the Government to launch a 2% tax on assets over £10 million and implement tax reform measures such as closing loopholes in non-doms and inheritance tax and reducing taxes on regular working people. We think this could raise billions of pounds per year for public spending.

Many polls have found that a majority of Brits support a wealth tax. Around 21% of Brits live in relative poverty after housing costs. Oxfam found that UK billionaires’ wealth increased by £35m per day in 2024. We believe wealth, which could be going into government spending, social services, and supporting working people, is being trickled upwards into the pockets of those with more money. We believe this is happening in the midst of a rising tax burden and bills for working people.
