I call for the Government to launch an inquiry to investigate how asbestos removal is taking place, and how asbestos is being tested for, and to review the rules on this.

It is estimated that 5,000 people die each year due to asbestos-related diseases.

We believe there should be inquiry into asbestos removal and a review into the rules, to help prevent or reduce further loss of life. We are concerned about the adequacy of testing approaches.
