Legislation on the use of tactical contact when pursuing two-wheeled vehicles

Legislate to give the police explicit powers to use tactical contact to stop criminal activity on 2 wheel vehicles. We believe many perpetrators are acting with impunity as they are fairly certain they will not be chased or caught because the police lack confidence in their current powers

We feel there is a constant wave of 2-wheeled crime and that it is unbearable. Motorcycles are being stolen, wrecked, burnt out, and there are perpetrators who are not pursued or caught. E-bikes are also often targeted, some of which are used illegally on the road and we believe there is a link between this use and other crime such as theft or drug running. We think the police officers need clearer and stronger protection in law to allow them to use tactical contact to stop the perpetrators.
