Give licenced security officers specific powers under the law

We think licenced security officers should have powers to use force to retrieve stolen items and deny entry or evict persons from premises. We also think they should also have search powers to find items they believe to be stolen, in bags, pockets and inside clothes.

We feel that the current powers that licenced security guards have are simply not enough. There has been an increase in shoplifting recently, and we think security officers do not have the powers to effectively deal with offenders. We think this common sense change in the law will help prevent shoplifting.
