Introduce a government-backed motor vehicle insurance provider

The government should introduce their own insurance provider specifically for the motor vehicle market to compete with existing insurance companies. We believe this could help improve the insurance market.

The government should introduce their own insurance provider to help introduce newer competition with existing private insurance providers. We think that currently, insurance providers are acting in oligopoly type behaviour which we feel is causing a disservice to UK citizens. We believe a lack of strong competition means that insurance companies can set their prices to a level that is significantly higher than what would be allocatively efficient.
