Review the NHS decision to make smear testing every 5 years if HPV negative

The NHS are changing the smear tests for women aged 25-49 from every three years to every five years if they are HPV negative. We think this should be reviewed. Some women get cervical cancer without having HPV. We think women are going to suffer as a result of this change.

Review the changes they are wishing to make. We think this could lead to some women’s cancer diagnosis being missed. There are women out there that are not HPV positive that have pre-cancerous and cancerous cells. ALOT can happen in five years & we think this policy is diabolical.
