Include asexuality as a protected characteristic in the Equality Act 2010

Asexuality is not explicitly recognised in the Equality Act 2010 as a protected characteristic. While the Act covers discrimination based on sexual orientation, it defines this as attraction to the same sex, opposite sex, or either sex. Asexuality defined as the lack of sexual attraction, falls outside of this definition.
