Create a regulatory body to regulate and oversee estate management companies

We call for the creation of a regulatory body to oversee estate management companies, to help ensure transparency, accountability, and fair service charges for leaseholders and freeholders. We think it’s time to better protect residents’ rights.

Estate management companies operate without full oversight from a regulator. Many view them as often charging excessive fees, providing poor service, and leaving residents with no real recourse. Only Parliament can establish a statutory regulator with the power to enforce standards, resolve disputes, and protect homeowners. We believe a government-backed body would ensure transparency, accountability, and fairness—giving leaseholders and freeholders the rights they deserve.
