Fund and expand employment opportunities for newly qualified NHS nurses

We urge the government to support newly qualified nurses by creating more NHS-funded roles. We want them to offer preceptorships, ensure fair recruitment, increase trust funding, and reduce reliance on overseas staff.

We feel that newly qualified nurses are being let down after years of hard work, training, and personal sacrifice. Despite a national shortage of nurses and growing pressure on NHS services, some graduates are struggling to find employment. We think this is a waste of valuable talent. We are concerned that the NHS spends millions on international recruitment, while some of our own graduates remain unemployed.
