We think making SuDs mandatory for new developments, and the government implementing Schedule 3 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 would provide a framework for the widespread adoption of SuDS and give local authorities the role of sustainable drainage approval body (SAB), with responsibility for checking compliance and approving their use.
