Ban all peanuts and tree nuts on all flights to protect allergy sufferers

Create legislation to ban all peanuts and tree nuts on all flights, including those served by airlines and brought by passengers. We think this would protect people with severe allergies from life-threatening reactions in a setting where emergency medical help isn't available.

People with severe nut allergies may be put at serious risk when airlines serve or allow nuts on board. We think having to ask for an announcement every time is unreliable—crew often forget, and by then passengers may have already opened nuts. We think this leaves allergy sufferers feeling unsafe and vulnerable. We think a government ban would ensure consistency, prevent life-threatening reactions, and make flying safer for everyone.
