We want the Trust to be funded by allocating 10% of annual proceeds from Crime Act seizures. With officer assaults, ill-health retirement from injury, disability and mental health across all police forces, many police charities are struggling to provide support to officers, staff, volunteers and their families. Many police charities and organisations do not receive any government funding, and police workers may have to pay for their own treatment and recovery whilst in a cost-of-living crisis.
