People in receipt of the state pension can lose the ability to claim carer’s allowance. We feel that people who reach the state pension age and provide care should be eligible for both. Unpaid carers save taxpayers a fortune by providing unpaid caring. We believe that state pensioners who are also carers should receive both payments at their full amount.
