Require a named minister to respond to petitions with over 10,000 signatures

Require a relevant minister to attach their name to the response to every petition, with a response that explains why it can or cannot happen. Responses should not just state that the government has no plans to accept the request of the petition.

There are currently 140 petitions which have had a government response. Many of the responses reject the petition, and we think they more or less say nothing at all. We think having a relevant minister tie their name and reputation to a response would help them to consider it an action for campaign, and not to simply reject it.
