We urge the Government to fund and create a national database of victims of unlawful arrest, and introduce a “Victim of Unlawful Arrest” ID card which will be issued to victims.

We feel victims of unlawful arrest are currently swept under the rug. They also may have lost all trust in the police. In the event that these victims have to have future interaction with the police, we believe they should be able to present the card and be entitled to reasonable adjustment.
