Fund the provision of barriers to prevent animals from running onto roads

I am asking the Government to fund local councils and National Highways to provide mandatory protective barriers along major roads and highways. We think these barriers would prevent animals from entering the road, and could help reduce accidents, protect drivers, and save animals’ lives.

I want the Government to do this because I have personally seen animals being hit by cars, and it is terrible. These accidents not only cause suffering to animals, but can also create dangerous situations for drivers. Children’s mental well-being can also be affected when they witness such events. We think installing barriers would make roads safer for everyone and show that animal welfare is valued in our society.
