I would like the Government to introduce legislation banning the use of the Nazi salute, the swastika, the SS rune, and other such Nazi symbols, similar to laws that have long existed in Germany and Austria, and have been more recently introduced in Australia.

The Nazi salute is not simply a distasteful expression of objectionable views. It is a declaration of support for an ideology that openly calls for the overthrow of democracy and the death of innocent people. We think that in this increasingly divisive era, the Nazi salute and other such iconography is being used to intimidate vulnerable sections of society such as ethnic minorities and the LGBTQ+ community. The use of such symbols cannot be normalised, and must be stopped for the sake of British democracy.
