We think this could cut fraud, protect identities, strengthen security and build trust. Identity theft and fraud are growing threats and could be costing citizens and the UK economy billions every year.

We believe that enhancing the National Insurance system with a secure biometric ID card could protect individuals, strengthen national security, improve efficiency, and build trust. It could ensure accountability where it matters most and fairness for all.
