Currently, many care homes operate with staffing levels that are too low, which can leave residents feeling lonely, upset, ignored, or neglected. This can also place enormous strain on care staff and families, contributing to burnout, stress, and unsafe conditions. We feel it is time that dignity, safety, and companionship for care home residents are prioritised through clear, enforceable standards.
