Mandate teaching the Irish troubles in the English curriculum

We call on the government to add the Irish Troubles to the National Curriculum so students learn this key part of UK history. Provide teacher training, resources, and partnerships with Irish schools to ensure it is taught fairly, sensitively, and from multiple perspectives.

The Irish troubles where a major issue not only in Ireland but also England, and we believe the failure for this subject to be taught properly in English schools is causing children attending these schools to be insensitive and have a lack of understanding of these key issues. Children should be aware of this History to help ensure that issues do not become to large again.
