Change the law to ban publishing the names of emergency service workers who are convicted of minor offences. We believe names should only be disclosed for sexual offences or crimes against minors.

Publishing the offence, not the name, could keep the public informed and maintain trust in our emergency service workers, whilst protecting workers and their families. Publishing the names of emergency service workers convicted for minor offences could cause lifelong stigma, harm families, and prevent rehabilitation. We believe only serious crimes against vulnerable people require naming.
