Increase the bursaries for teachers in all core STEM subjects to over £20,000

Increase all bursaries for trainee teachers in STEM above £20,000 per academic year. There is already a massive shortage of teachers, especially in core subjects, and I feel the lack of funding will not be an incentive to train to teach.

Recent cuts in Teacher Training Bursaries in Biology have decreased from £26k to £5k, leaving one to question: Which subject will the government cut next? With training fees often costing over £9k a year, plus another £10k needed for general maintenance (such as housing, transport, or food), the cuts in funding could result in a significant decrease in trainee teachers. This could worsen the Secondary School teacher shortage.
