Provide funding so every school can have a full-time school counsellor

We call on the government to require every school to have a school counsellor. Many young people face multiple mental health challenges in school and do not have someone to get help from. This must be changed. Children must not have to suffer in silence anymore.

1 in 6 children aged 5 to 16 have been shown to suffer from a mental health disorder. Early support and interventions in school can help save these children from suffering any longer. School should be a safe place to nurture and support children, but without a school counsellor to turn to they can far too often suffer in pain.
