Concorde was one of the most revolutionary commercial aircraft and was capable of crossing the Atlantic in three hours whereas modern planes cross the Atlantic in around eight hours. It was globally recognised as an icon. The demand for the return of a similar engineering marvel has been very high now for more than 20 years.
