The Government should require all airlines to let passengers travel without mobile app or smartphone. Passengers must be allowed to print boarding passes before arriving at the airport, unless all passengers, including app users, are required to check in at the airport for document or visa checks.
Non smartphone users should also receive the same level of updates and customer support during disruption through SMS or email. Passengers without smartphones, including elderly travellers and those who avoid devices for religious or personal reasons, would be disadvantaged and could face delays or be denied boarding if a physical pass is not retained. Government action is needed to ensure all passengers can travel equally.
