The Government must undertake a review, with a focus on repeat offenders, to make crime less appealing with tougher sentencing and less freedom in prison to make it more of a deterrent.

Too many convicted criminals go on to reoffend repeatedly with no fear of having to enter a prison in some cases, & when in prison they are not made to want to reform to avoid ending up back inside. So often when we hear about someone convicted of a serious crime it is mentioned how many previous offences they have had. Make punishment for crimes more severe and prisons more restrictive as a deterrent and make sentences for repeat offenders longer.
