Ban the manufacture, import and sale of Rawhide as a dog treat

Rawhide dog chews can pose a serious risk to animal welfare, such as choking, blockages and illness. We ask the UK Government to ban the manufacture, import and sale of rawhide dog chews. Safer alternatives exist, and a ban could protect pets and prevent avoidable harm.

Pet owners and veterinary professionals have documented recurring issues with rawhide. I believe a ban would align with the Government’s duty to protect animal welfare and consumer safety.
