Many people on family visas are residents who have come from countries where English is not the primary language and entered the UK under rules that required only B1 English proficiency for Indefinite Leave to Remain.

We believe people who entered UK on family visas should not have to face hardships after having previously entered the UK and meeting previous requirements. B2 level should only apply to people who come after 2025.

We believe B1 Level English is sufficient to integrate and participate in the UK.
