The UK is home to a vibrant Sri Lankan diaspora, which is composed of highly skilled migrants, care workers, nurses and students. This community contributes extensively to the NHS, education, business, and public life.

In 2023, overseas aid was an estimated £15.3 billion, with over £50 billion spent from 2020-23. The UK has historically provided substantial disaster aid, £392 million after the 2004 tsunami and £10 million after the 2025 Myanmar earthquake.

We believe climate change is something the whole world should be responsible for, and that one country should not be left to suffer.
