Ban the sale of methanol to the public without a licence or ID

Methanol is a highly toxic product but is only regulated in amount upwards of 500 tonnes, however small doses can be deadly to children and adults. Despite being a toxic product, it's readily available in large quantities online without maximum order quantities or age verification.

Methanol is highly toxic, with as little as 30ml potentially fatal if ingested. Someone I loved was able to buy it without sufficient regulation, with devastating consequences. We believe stronger controls are needed to ensure safe handling, clearer labelling, and restricted access to prevent accidental poisoning, misuse, and avoidable deaths.
