Require house buyers to be liable for solicitor fees once a mortgage is approved

I want the government to introduce a new law, mandating that a contract should be introduced once a mortgage has been approved, If after this point a buyer does not proceed with the sale, they should be held liable to pay for all solicitors fee’s in the chain.

There is no law or repercussions for anyone who can make an offer on your house and can pull out at anytime of the process and then the people selling are left with solicitors fee’s to pay. We think this change will cut out utter time wasters and allow for a quick and easy process.

Your mortgage is valid for 6 months and you pay a mortgage fee on top, this law should allow for all processes to be completed within 4 months of getting into contract
If you are happy to accept that suggestion, let me know and I will publish your petition. If you would like something different, let me know and we can discuss the wording.
