The COVID-19 outbreak has had an significant impact on the housing market and the Government has taken unprecedented measures to help those facing challenges. To support the property sector and home buyers the Government has issued guidance to help people move safely, and temporarily cut Stamp Duty Land Tax for home buyers until the end of the financial year.

According to the property website Rightmove, the housing market had its busiest month in July in more than 10 years, with the highest number of monthly sales agreed in Britain.
