Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what discussions he has had with Government health advisers on the need for a second covid-19 booster jab.

At the time of the launch of the booster vaccination programme in September 2021, it was not known whether recurrent booster doses would be required in the long term. The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation is continuing to review the booster vaccination programme and value of any second booster doses for the most vulnerable.
