Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will make an estimate on 3 February 2022 of how many and what proportion of NHS staff have not received their first covid-19 vaccine by that date; and if will place details of that estimate in the Library of the House.

While specific data for 3 February 2022 is not available, NHS England’s data of 6 February on the vaccination status of National Health Service trust healthcare workers showed that 1,453,433 staff or 95.4% had received a first dose.

Following public consultation and consideration of the latest clinical evidence on the Omicron variant, the Government has revoked the regulations requiring COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of deployment in health and care settings.
