Health and care workers retain the right to accept or refuse vaccination. A Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered person would be prohibited from employing or otherwise engaging a worker unvaccinated against COVID-19, in roles that have direct contact with patients as part of the provision of CQC-regulated activities, unless an exception, including medical exemptions, apply.
