Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, with reference to Part One of the National Disability Strategy published on 28 July 2021, what steps her Department has taken on testing whether providing additional support for employers who are willing to do more and flex job roles for those who need more than standard Access to Work can open up job opportunities for disabled people.

Work is progressing well to develop a model to test whether providing additional support for employers who are willing to offer more than standard Access to Work programmes can open up additional job opportunities for disabled people. DWP officials are continuing to work with stakeholders, employers and disabled people to develop the funding model. To enable us to gain early feedback and learning to inform any future development of this work we will be adopting a test and learn approach starting this year.
