Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 20 of the NAO report on the Equipment Plan 2022 to 2032, HC 907, published on 29 November, what assessment he has made of the impact of the decision by Navy Command to withdraw plans for Multi-Role Support Ships on Littoral Strike.

There are no plans to withdraw the Multi Role Support Ships programme. It remains in the concept phase, and the programme and procurement strategy will be decided following the completion of the concept phase. We continue to assess plans and are still working to the intended in-service dates.
