Implementation of the changes made by the Immigration Act 2016 to asylum support under the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 and to local authority support for migrants without immigration status will involve engagement with local authorities, the devolved administrations and other partners on the preparation of the required regulations. We have not yet made a decision on the timing of this work.
