Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what steps he has taken to ensure that people on low incomes are prioritised for energy efficiency retrofits to help reduce energy costs.
This question was answered on 21st January 2022
The Government created the Energy Company Obligation scheme for larger energy suppliers to install energy-efficiency and heating measures to the homes of people on low incomes. It has delivered over 3 million measures in approximately 2.3 million homes up to October 2021.
