We recognise that many community-led renewable projects rely on the feed-in tariff as a reliable source of income on which to build a business case for funding. However, we have actively engaged with community groups as part of our recent consultation on pre-accreditation and will do so further through targeted stakeholder events as part of the broader FITs review. In the FIT review consultation, we specifically seek views on whether the scheme might be focussed towards specific groups or sectors; we have also acknowledged that it may be possible to reintroduce pre-accreditation if the evidence submitted at consultation supports it.
